VRS224 – Reflections on VRMA Paris and VRM Intel London with Jessica Gillingham
A trip to Paris is going to be outstanding at any time of the year and hearing that VRMA would be holding the 2018 European Conference there was exciting.
I prepared and submitted a presentation proposal that was accepted, booked my flight and an apartment for 4 days and planned to meet friends for dinners and drinks.
Sadly, the stars didn’t align for me and I spent the week of the conference firmly back in Ontario, driving back and forth from my home to our local hospital visiting my sick husband.
I’m pleased to say he is well and back at home now, but my plan to deliver a round-up of what I’d seen, and who I’d met in Paris was pretty much scuppered.
Fortunately, my good friend Jessica Gillingham, from Abode PR stepped in and gave me her overview of not only the Paris VRMA event, but also the one-day VRMIntel conference in London, held later in the week.
Jessica’s perspective takes us from the Keynote presentation with a Google executive, to a lively panel discussion with some of the largest property managers in Europe and the US.
She touches on supply issues, and why continued emphasis on the guest experience and remarking will drive direct booking in the future.
