Reporting from the Vacation Rental Managers Association Conference

No items found.

The VRMA is the largest organisation of its kind representing vacation rental agencies and brings together owners, managers and staff from hundreds of agencies in North America to an annual conference, this year in San Antonio, Texas.  For me, it’s a great finale to our road trip before we head back to Ontario for the start of our new business year, and I hope to learn a lot, meet some interesting people and gather a lot of new content for this blog.

There’s sessions on social networking, how to use Facebook effectively, write a press release, welcome pets, and reviews of the travel industry in general, and that is just scratching the surface.  I’ll also be meeting up with some of the people I’ve been corresponding with over the past few years, but never met, so that will be very useful.  People like Mike Mcfadden of Luxury Real Estate (Vacation Rentals), Mark Bordo at Cottage Country, Tom Gilmore of Vacation Home Rentals and some of the Flipkey team to name just a few.

I’ll be tweeting from the conference so follow me @cottageguru to get up-to-date gen on what really grabs me from the sessions and follow the blog as I pull the best and most interesting content to report on.
