Sharon Michie has hospitality built into her genetic make-up. Following in her grandfather’s and parents footsteps in the hotel business, and then her mother’s venture into vacation rentals in the Sanibel and Captiva Islands, she’s been running a thriving property management company for well over two decades.
Over that time, Sharon has faced hurricanes, oil spills, red tides, recessions and now, Covid-19. She says the experience of emergency management through the years has prepared her for what we’re facing now, but it’s still a challenge.
In this interview, Sharon shares what she is doing to maintain relationships with guests and owners and explains some of the strategies she’s using to keep afloat during this time.
